Great value on first order

I decided to try Instacart for the first time last week because I saw a $20 off $35 offer. I ordered some household essentials and baby diapers. The discount made it really worth it! Saved a good chunk of change. The delivery was smooth, and everything arrived fine. Definitely felt like I got a good deal.

Good service, but a bit pricey

My recent order included a mix of pantry staples and some deli meat from Publix. The delivery was prompt, arriving well within the estimated time frame, and the shopper did a good job picking fresh items. Customer service was responsive when I had a question about a charge, which was helpful. My only real gripe is that the prices on some items seem a bit higher than in-store, even before factoring in the service fees and tip. It's super convenient, but I do wish the overall cost was a little more competitive.

Convenient, mostly good experience

I used Instacart for a grocery delivery from my local Safeway last Tuesday. The ordering process on their app was pretty straightforward; I found everything I needed easily, including some fresh produce and household cleaning supplies. Delivery was scheduled for between 3 PM and 4 PM. My shopper, Sarah, messaged me a couple of times about a couple of items that were out of stock, offering good substitutions like a different brand of paper towels and a similar organic yogurt. The delivery itself was on time, arriving around 3:45 PM. All the items were correctly delivered and well-packaged, especially the frozen foods which were still very cold. One small thing, the bananas I received were a little greener than I would have picked myself, but still perfectly usable. Overall, a reliable service for busy weeks.

Got my snacks super fast

Needed some snacks and drinks for a get-together last minute. Instacart delivered from Sprouts. It was all super quick, like an hour and a half. Everything was there and still cold. Super easy, saved me a trip to the store.

Always reliable for groceries

I've been using Instacart for about a year now, mainly for my weekly grocery runs from Ralphs. This last order, for fresh produce and dairy, was just as consistent as my previous ones. Shopper kept me updated, found good substitutes for a couple of items that were out, and everything arrived within the delivery window. It's really convenient and saves me a lot of time, which is why I keep coming back.

Hey guys, thinking of trying Instacart for the first time. Are there any good deals for new users? Don't wanna pay full price if I don't have to lol.

M Marcus Vargas 1 month ago
Yeah, totally. They almost always have something like $20 off your first order or free delivery. Just look on their site or app.

I got $10 off my first one and free delivery too. It's pretty standard for new accounts, definitely worth checking out before you place anything.

Is Instacart really more expensive than just going to the store myself? Trying to figure out if the convenience is worth it.

N Nina Okafor 2 months ago
Honestly, sometimes it can be a little higher on individual items, plus the service fees. But if you factor in gas and your time, it often evens out. Especially for big orders.

For sure, a bit. I notice small markups on a lot of things. But my time is money, so I don't mind. Plus, no impulse buys at the checkout line which saves me more sometimes haha.

how does Instacart compare to like, Shipt or DoorDash for groceries? Wondering which service is generally better.

J June E. 2 months ago
I've used both Instacart and Shipt. Instacart generally has more store options in my area, which is a plus. DoorDash for groceries is still kinda new to me, haven't tried it much.

Instacart definitely has more selection of stores most of the time. Shipt is good too, but sometimes their pricing can be a bit weirder. DoorDash is great for restaurants, but for actual big grocery hauls, I usually stick with Instacart.

Can you actually get booze delivered through Instacart? Or is it just groceries?

J June Torres 2 months ago
Yep, absolutely. I've gotten wine and beer delivered before. You just have to be home to show ID when they drop it off.

Yeah, they do alcohol delivery in a lot of places. Just make sure your local stores that are on Instacart carry it.
